Here’s Whitney’s story:

“You don’t know how magical childhood is until you get to witness it in your own children.

For my boys, every object they encounter has the potential to be mesmerizing. Recently, my youngest has started collecting rocks that he finds. While I wouldn’t think twice about any of the pebbles he picks up, for him they have a wondrous quality. He views each one as being unique and turns them over in his hands, feeling their smoothness or roughness, taking in their spots and cracks.

That is part of what makes being a kid so special, the fact that everything is new, everything is as it is.”
