Here’s Pilar’s story:
“The snow on my metal roof has begun hanging off the edge in menacing yet beautiful, curving ice sheets. I have to duck to get in and out my kitchen door because the snow/ice sheets droop so low in spots. And I suppose I could be badly injured or killed if one happened to fall just as I was passing below, but they are so pretty I can’t bear to knock them down. They remind me of glaciers and seem as endangered as they are endangering, I guess. That, at it makes my little house look and feel like something out of Dr. Zhivago.”

One word of advice, well, actually, two words: metal hat.
