#0087 | the terrible twos
Submitted by Marie from Laurel, Maryland.
Here’s Marie’s story:
“Our son, Alex, is 2 years old. People often refer to the terrible twos–but I really do not think they are terrible. They are a time of trial and understanding.
Alex has learned many things. When he wakes up, he expects to change his clothes, use the potty, and eat his waffle. When he leaves a room, he closes the door. If someone wants to do it differently, he simply doesn’t understand.
On the other hand, he is constantly learning new things. He can stand and explore the wind, rain, sunshine. The world is quite literally his jungle gym. He wants to try everything.
I think we can all learn to enjoy life as a two year old.”

From my experience, the terrible twos start at age three and then end at about age 36. This should give you something to look forward to for as long as you retain your sanity.
