Here’s Karin’s story:

“Coming back from a walk yesterday afternoon, I passed by a school and saw some drawings the young students had made on the sidewalk. They were easy to overlook but I noticed them and took a moment to examine each one. It immediately took me back to my time at that school, when I had done the same thing with fat pieces of pastel chalk. Knowing that some things don’t change is comforting.

There was a sweetness to those drawings that made me feel happy, too. You don’t ever see adults doing things like drawing on the sidewalk; we’re too preoccupied with more ‘important’ practical concerns.”
