Here’s Anonymous’ story:
Like this haiku? Buy us a cafe con leche!”This is a neat site and I’ve enjoyed a lot of the posts, but the post about having relatives who hunt really struck a chord with me.
You see, not only do my father and brothers enjoy hunting, but they actually do the whole taxidermy thing as well. Honestly, I didn’t realize it was strange to grow up in a house where the living room walls are lined with dead animal heads until a few years after I went to college and began living on my own. It’s funny how you just assume that the way you grow up is completely “normal”–whatever that means.
Now that I have a little perspective on this topic, I definitely notice the taxidermy when I go back home on vacation. A lot of little details like this have suddenly become apparent, and I’m not sure how comfortable I am now with all of those dead eyes watching me watch television.”

The part i’d like to remark of the story is this one:
“It’s funny how you just assume that the way you grow up is completely “normal”–whatever that means.”
Instead of the head-hunting thing
