The scale of things can be overwhelming, knowing how many people there are living across the globe at this very moment in history. It is humbling to know how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things, over the vast timeline of existence.”

I like this. I think this kind of individual smallness in the face of the universe would be a very helpful philosophy to introduce at a support group for eating disorder.

Sure, the world is big and we are small, but my college loans are definitely still medium-sized.
