Haiku for You | though your leaves are gone

Submitted by Anonymous in Iowa City, Iowa.

Here’s Anonymous’ story:

“My favorite time of the year is fast approaching: after fall, when the weather gets a little too brisk and all of the trees in my neighborhood are naked.

Most of my friends hate this time of year, saying that it’s too cold and gray.  I disagree.  To me, it’s just a different kind of beauty, one that is more desolate and poetic.  Just because the leaves are gone doesn’t mean the trees have been stripped of their loveliness.”

  1. I luv rainy days :)

Everybody around me dislike them because here in spain theres a big range… In summer is very hot and sunny and in winter very cold and rainy… and everybody seems to lov sunny days and call bad weather when it rains and complain about it….

I usually tell them that its just water not acid! why do you run that fast!

The rain kind of purify… and its like magic… its water falling down from above… we should pay for such neat trick!

I luv this page btw :)

  2. I completely agree! Bare trees can be just as lovely as full-clothed ones. Just in a different way.

  3. i love the silver gray sky when it snow, a unspoken softness and a dreamlike atmosphere made out of angle tears and sobbing souls
