#0023 | those colorful tubes

Submitted by Summer in Olympia, Washington.

Here’s Summer’s story:

“I work at Chuck E. Cheese and every day I get the pleasure of cleaning the Crawl Tubes after we close. It really sucks and it always smells like dirty babies. I usually get some sort of rip in my work pants and my knees hurt when I come out.

The only fun part is coming down the slide at the end because it yells, ‘YEEEEEHAAAWWW WOOPEEEE’ Then I feel a little better.”

Hopefully this haiku will make you feel a little better, too.

I’ve never been, but Chuck E Cheese looks like a magical land of tubes and slides.

Hey…I’m just glad to know that someone DOES clean them!

WHAT? Those things actually get cleaned? I went up there…once…and almost threw up. It smelled like pee and there was wet, smushy food in the crevices. I keep my kids out now…
My condolences to you for having to go up there so much…
