Here’s Justin’s story:

“Here’s a phrase - Vegetarian Cannibal.

It’s a funny juxtaposition. Imagine someone from deep within a jungle in a tribe that eats the flesh of their captives. Then one among them becomes a vegetarian. He becomes the black sheep. He questions the ways of his people.

He debates the pros and cons but always ends up leaning toward the side of the vegetarianism. He’s the butt of jokes from his peers. His family ostracizes him. He becomes a beggar. He ekes out a living with little knowledge of jungle fruits and vegetables. His experimants with unknown plants lead to strange hallucinations, then to eventual poisoning. His friends and family see he’s sick and stop berating him. They nurse him back to health and accept him for who he is: the Vegetarian Cannibal.

Well, what do you think?”

We think it’s perfect and hope that you don’t mind the Vegetarian Cannibal becoming a Vegan–the former is a haiku-unfriendly 8 syllables.

And yes, those are cannibalistic carrots.

Wow thanks for the vocabulary lesson!

I want to eat the evil peer pressure carrots.

I knew there was a reason I didn’t like carrots…they’re scary!

Well, if I am in the jungle I certainly want to meet vegan cannibals not the standard type.
